Eclipse Textiles are now stocking a new, cutting edge, sustainable techno-fabric that uses the latest yarn and knitting technologies. Carvico techno-fabric Vita Xtra Life LYCRA® is made with ECONYL® - 100% regenerated nylon and polyester fiber from post-consumer materials.
The innovative ECONYL® Regenerated System is based on sustainable chemistry. With this process, the nylon and polyester contained in waste, such as carpets, clothing and fishing nets, is transformed back into virgin raw material without any loss of quality.
THE LATEST YARN AND KNITTING TECHNOLOGY
Due to the latest yarn and knitting technologies, it is 20% flatter than your normal Matt Xtra Life LYCRA®, even though it still has the same classic power and coverage. Thanks to its innovative construction and presence of Xtra Life LYCRA®, is more chlorine resistant than your average swimwear fabric.
Xtra Life LYCRA® Fiber resists fabric breakdown more than 5 times longer than your average chlorine-resistant spandex. Fiber breakage can cause fabric breakdown very quickly. Swimwear garments using Xtra Life LYCRA®Fiber have no significant fiber breakage even after 240 hours of exposure.

Deterioration in swimsuits is mainly determined by elastane breakage, which weakens the fabric and causes a loss of shape and fit. As well as laboratory analyses, the live tests carried out on VITA in the swimming pool with professional athletes showed that Xtra Life LYCRA® fiber offers much greater resistance than the best chlorine-resistance competitor's elastane.
